nebthet
Here area couple pics of the stars from this weekend.. Edit: After several hours of work and looking at star charts.. I am adding a couple pics showing several of the constellations. Once you know where to look, you can usually spot them in the other pics. Link to comment

nebthet
The camera I am using is a Canon T1i. Football shots: 75-300mm lense (non IS) at 400iso and 1/1250 shutter on AWB For the star shots, they were shots: 18-55mm at 18mm setting, 1600iso and 30sec exposure. Also used a remote shutter release to help prevent camera shake on the tripod. Glad you like the shots LB. I still have a lot to relearn regarding composition and what now. I wish I liked photography 10years ago when I was in College for Print Journalism and has a photography class, but I didn't and using the old 35mm cameras just made too darn hard and annoying let alone cost preventative to try a lot of these shots. evanski
Good stuff...the star pics are fun, and the sports pics take me way back. LOVE the action shots and the facial expressions. Lots of BAD tackling going on! Link to comment

nebthet
Well I haven't posted on here since the summer, mostly because I haven't been doing a whole lot of photography since then. Put at the end of Oct and mid-Nov I managed to go out and do a few things. The first, I went up to Ottawa with a friend who is into the new College craze of quidditch. I just thought it was funny as hell to watch people running around with brooms between their legs, but I can at least officially call this a sport, seeing how it was full contact and three people ended up getting hurt. One a broken leg, one broken arm and a concussion. The second time I got out, I was out at my parents and I was able to do some stellar photography. I even managed to get a decent pic of Jupiter and a couple of its' satellites. Jupiter using the 300mm lens The cropped and blown up Link to comment
