If you decide to go with CPR buy from amekaaquatics. They have factory seconds ($74 shipped!). Regardless, make sure you drill a small hole at the top of the inlet pipe as an siphon break. that will reduce the back flow. My water level runs about 3mm down from the black edging at the top, in the event of a power outtage, there's enough room for the back wash! Oh yeah, 8" wide might be too much wieght for thre glass/tank/stand! The CPR is only 4". Link to comment

onthefly Posted January 28, 2004 Share Posted January 28, 2004 You can use what ever you want as long as it has a 1/2" outlet. One probelm, CPR glues in the Rio 200 outlet tube/valve assy in the outlet tubing, so you'd have to cut that off to retro it......I might when this Rio takes a crap! Link to comment
