DBroncos
Thanks I guess I should be a little more specific. Is 80 Degrees ok for both fish and corals? What would not be ok @ 80 degrees? Link to comment

cheryl jordan
Eighty degrees is fine, what you want to avoid is temp swings in short amounts of time. You can keep pretty much any corals and fish you like. Link to comment
cheryl jordan
Just make sure you check to see if the fish or coral comes from temperate areas. Fish like Catalina gobies, sea horses need a cooler system. Most everything you see on-line or in the LFS will be fine in 80 degrees F. I tend to keep my tanks around 78. Link to comment
lakshwadeep
This is a good list of recommended ranges for different water parameters, including temperature. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-05/rhf/index.php Link to comment
Bill Nye
I believe 80 degrees is one of the more popular temps people keep their tanks at. I used to always keep my tanks at 80, but with my latest one I went to 78 degrees and I prefer it. In case of emergency (fan dying etc) you have more room for the temp to raise before you hit critical mass. Link to comment
