Rocket Posted July 11, 2010 Share Posted July 11, 2010 odd, Alkalinity usually never goes up. What salt are you using, are you dosing anything? How old is the salt you are using, did you mix up the bucket(salt) ? Water changes to dilute the alkalinity, but test the salt mix up first. Link to comment

allie22 Posted July 11, 2010 Author Share Posted July 11, 2010 been adding 30ml of aqua c complete both parts since I began tank 8 mos ago. Have a heavy coral load. tests were right on the money up until this week. Use Tropic marin pro reef as always. Cal. is a perfect 420 tested with Sera. Mg showed up at 1200 (low), usually it is pegged at 1400, test with Salifert. Kh tested with elos. Nitrates below 5. PH 8.2 right on the money with Seachem, have always found this a good test. Aqua c complete has always given me perfect results with sps's growing like mad. No idea what has gone haywire. Have started what will be a 100% water change over 6 days. Am running a28 nano with MH and PC lighting.
