Questions about install

Steve,

Just got a media rack, Tunze 9002, one of your skimmer cups and some other goodies from you for my Biocube 29. I had a few questions:

- What are the little plastic tabs for? Not the stay hold that joins the spillway with the media rack. The little clips. The photos on the website don't offer a very good description of where they go.

-Does the water level in the 2nd chamber really have to go up the water line on the Tunze for it to work? I have a new tank so I don't know if thats why I am not generating any skimmate or if I haven't installed something right.

-Do you have to expand the opening between chambers 1 and 2 (cut the tab) to get the water level that high?

-Can you offer some ideas how to remove the false floor in chamber 1? The videos on your site make it look way to easy.

-Just to verify, the shorter side of the media rack faces chamber 1. The longer one faces bulkhead.

It would be nice if you had an instruction manual on your site!

See picture on the bottom of the media basket page. They are water direction tabs. If you need help installing see the BC14MR installation video:

The water line can be no lower than 1/2" below the line on the Tunze. Every skimmer needs up to two weeks to break in and bioload to collect.

NO but it is recommended. To raise the water level all you need to do is dump fresh saltwater into chamber two.

Pull up with a screw driver, coat hanger. I pushed down on my research tanks with a blunt object. More discussion here:

Not sure I understand that. The door faces the false wall of the tank or the rear of the tank. The taller walls face the chamber walls.

We did, I re-did the site last week and all the links have to be re-hosed. We have instructional videos that cover everything plus a lot more than the directions sheets did, have a look. I have found that 90%+ of customer do better with video than text.
