nalbar Posted January 20, 2004 Share Posted January 20, 2004 you might get a mini-spike depending on the quality of the rock. do it one peice at a time if you are in any way worried. of course if you have nothing in your tank yet no need to worry so much. if it is totally uncured rock you could create a serious problem in our small tanks. nalbar Link to comment
tinyreef Posted January 20, 2004 Share Posted January 20, 2004 as long as the rock is either completely cured or from an established tank (e.g. display tank at the store), it should be ok to add them. adding LR is very much like adding livestock imo. if you add a dying animal or still-curing LR, it'll just pollute your system. a settled-in animal or established LR could be safely introduced if handled correctly. hth Link to comment
