Chemical purchasing

Hello, I am inquiring about the quality thing regarding cheap cal and mag chloride thru a lab in my town.

My question is do I buy USP/NF grade, ACS grade, Lab grade, or purified? What grade should I buy for my reef to dose with?

What size tank will you be dosing? USP-NF sounds good since it's used for medical purposes, but other grades may also be fine. Here's one link:

In that case, cost is important, so you might follow the advice in my link saying to "avoid the lowest (least expensive) grades of calcium chloride (often called Technical, Practical, or with no grade described at all)."

that would be a definite and "No-brainer" for sure .. I believe in overkill when it comes to reefing- lol
