Korbin
Does anyone know of any type of skimmer that I could mount on-the-back-of or next-to my Eclipse 12? The catch is, that I don't want to put all kinds of holes in my stock canopy. Would I be able to run a skimmer from just hoses or something? I'm looking to make my tank as maintenence-free as possible. Link to comment
Metznreef
on the net i saw a guy using a back-pak on an eclipse 6 so im guessing it would also work on a 12. i don't know if he modded the hood at all though. Link to comment
tinyreef
could you fit a berlin air in there? it wouldn't look good but it'll work. a prizm is the next thought but you'd have to cut up the hood a little. one time i'd thought of using a rio 800HP and pumping out of my old nano (eclipse six) up into another container (2.5-gal for instance). this secondary tank could have a real skimmer hung on and also be a refugium. the issue was plumbing it back into the nano via gravity feed. i needed to drill the side and no one could drill a 2.5-gal because the glass was too thin. just a thought.
