Would air bubbles hurt Macro Algae?

Just a question, I am wondering what would happen if I had bubbled air in a refugium that had cheato in it? Would that hurt the cheato?

Typical micro bubbles no. A larged trapped pocket of air maybe.

I've got chaeto positioned to block bubbles flowing through my sump, no problems whatsoever.

And in fact I use to run an air stone in my fuge at night. Every thing but sponge can deal with air for the most part.
