bneyman Posted January 18, 2004 Share Posted January 18, 2004 If you're running a reef, nothing, use it for circulation/mini-sump. I've got a AC150, and only 1-2x a month I run a bag of carbon to polish the water. I also will use the sponge right after my WC's and when I'm "turkey basting" stuff in my tank to quickly get rid of particulate matter. The rest of the time it's empty except for my heater. You could even turn it into a mini-fuge. Would be a small one, but possible. Try doing a search for DIY fuge. HTH... many possibilities with the AC. Link to comment
Chronicles Posted January 18, 2004 Share Posted January 18, 2004 Right now I have the sponge on the bottom, then chemi-pure, then filter floss, then a bag of PhosGaurd. I rinse the sponge weekly and replace when needed. Link to comment
