A Yellow Assessor 1 masked goby(they ninja into the macro and love hiding in there/very different behavioral patterns with macro tanks than coral dominated. its really neat) & and im thinking of adding 2 more masked gobies 3 juvenile blue reef chromis & possibly a eviota or trimma for kicks. hagarthefish
all i can say is its INCREDIBLY difficult to get any good shots since the switch to leds.... O_O"edit: here goes! Hi, could you tell me what type of algea is pictured in the top pic? I have it growing like a weed in mine and am always pulling it out. It is very brittle and the small bits that break off attatch somewhere else. When I first saw it I was thrilled, but now I just want rid. Link to comment

Just curious, from all the listed algae, which one that absorb NO3/PO4 ? almost ALL algaes absorb po4/no3 from the water but remember macros NEED no3/p04 to do well. or they will whither and die. Macro tanks are best kept slightly dirtier than regular coral tanks. Link to comment
SbCaes
Simplicity its something we all strive for. To make something simple requires hard work to make something complex is easy. And i think my tank has recently become a bit too complex for my liking. Thus I've Decided to restructure my tank layout. I will be removing the false wall and going with a mp10 only (not sure about removing the siding on my bc29.) Thoughts? And most importantly I will be restructuring this tank to make it much simpler. Planning on only keeping: Oar Grass//sand bed related plants Ochtodes Red Grape Algae Green Grape Cauplera Sargassum Toadstool Algae Stypodium if i can get my hands on it. Red Titan Rastas///tubbs blue///blue magicians///frost bite palys/// and a small bed of ricordea and st thomas rics. stay tuned. pm if you want some macros. Link to comment
