chs8084
Our tank has just about cycled and we have a clown fish in it and possible a fan worm as well as about 12 pounds of live rock. We have noticed a new critter in there-- it looks like an off-white crustacean (about an inch long) of some sort but without a hard shell. Can anyone help identify it? Link to comment

birdman204
frumthesouth, sounds like you have amphipods to me. these are snails with very small shells. Link to comment
BlackSumbel
Um... amphipods aren't snails. Not any more than Squid/Cuttlefish are snails, and certainly no more than clams are snails. Link to comment
tinyreef
i think birdy was answering the second comment (frum's) and then just not separating the thought enough from his second statement, which relates to the topic at hand actually. (i'm feeling dizzy now) Link to comment
