purple_stardust
Me again, with more questions! I'm still in the planning stages, but I thought it would be wise to have everything in place before I set up the Nano Cube (which I haven't actually purchased yet, but hey, I like to plan ahead). Aside from the basic tank/light/pump, what other accessories do I need? For example, do I need any special water conditioners (I guess I'll be using distilled water), or just salt? I know I'll need a meter to test the salinity, but what about other meters and test kits? I assume I'll need a net for the fish, but are there special tools for handling corals or crustaceans? Anything else? Sorry to be so annoying with the questions, but I really want to get this all set up correctly *before* I add anything that's alive. Link to comment
Crakeur
check out the articles located here: http://www.nano-reef.com/info/ That should give you the basics. Items needed in a nutshell: tank lights heater water movement device (powerhead, hob filter) live rock substrate distilled or r/o water salt test kits: ammonia nitrates nitrites hydrometer or refractometer or other specific gravity measuring device. patience forget the net. you have a ways to go before you will be netting anything. Warboz
I just got all of my basic supplies to get my tank up and running (yesterday) and this is what I got. Tank itself Upgraded Lighting (on the way) Heater Power Head for current HOB for currect (You already have current covered) Substrate Live Rock Refractometer Thermometer Mini Siphon Water of choice Salt I think thats it, since you're looking to get a nano cube some of those things will change, but roughly its the same. I don't think I forget anything, hope that helps. Link to comment
