lanamarks
I decided to go with a 65K Lights of America fixture from Home Depot (65W) because its just too cheap to pass up. What's the cheapest, easiest way to add actinic to this because I've been led to believe it will be incredibly yellow without the actinics. Am I correct? Will this make the tank look whiter? And how many watts of actinic do I need to add. (FYI - my tank is 14x14). Thanks! Link to comment
Jahkaya
2 of these http://www.hellolights.com/13wretrokit.html or one of these http://www.hellolights.com/14nanretkit.html Or you could get a workhorse ballast and a 32 watt bulb and endcap and reflector and DIY. Link to comment
lanamarks
Thanks. I thought that hellolights had a pretty nice little retro for the price but I wasn't sure since I am a newbie! Link to comment
onthefly
You might set up the 6500K's first and see if you like it! I didn't have a problem with mine and thought they weren't "yellow" like everyone claimed them to be. Link to comment
