laserman24
Hello With my 10g I change 1/3 of the water a week, was told this by my lfs. My question is how often and how much water should I change on a 30g. I going to be setting up my 30g cube when I can get some LR cheap. My plan was to put 20lb of it in the 30g and wait from that to cycle, then transfer all my coral, fish, 13lb LR, LS from my 10g to the 30g. I heard this was a bad idea because it will start a new cycle. So what do you guys think I should do, becasue I want to use the LS and LR from the 10g for the new 30g. Thanks Jason Link to comment
ninhsavestheday
yeah, cycle the new stuff first. then when its done, transfer stuff over. also you dont need to do 1/3 water changes, just do 10-20%. therefore instead of doing 10 gallon water changes on the 30 just do 3 gallons. Link to comment
