NC 24 media basket

Can the top shelf of the media basket be removed without taking out the media basket from the tank? Also would I get good growth with the single 5 w underwater light if I were to grow cheato in the middle chamber of the media basket in a NC 24?

Yes and yes. The top shelf can be removed before you install it, or if already installed lift the media basket up 1/3 way and remove the shelf.

 

One single light will work.
