Stitch Posted January 12, 2004 Share Posted January 12, 2004 Just wondering if the fan noise on the new CSL light with built in moonlight is any better than the old ABS 2/36W hood they sell. I have the older model and am considering upgrading to the new fixture for a 20L but not sure if the fans are still loud. Link to comment
moose12 Posted January 12, 2004 Share Posted January 12, 2004 Stitch, Not too familiar with the old ABS hood, but I do have the CSL moonlight 24" Hood and so far have been really happy with the fan noise. Of course before I had some Coralife knockoff light with 4 mini fans or something, sounded like an airplane. I used to contemplate turning the lights off during movies because it was so loud, with this new hood my powerheads make more noise. And they're pretty quiet. HTH, Chris Link to comment
