aqua_aaron
Hey, Has anyone tried those up to 55 watt CF ballast kits where the plug contains the ballast? Just curious because I need something inexpensive to power a 28 watt cf bulb and hellolights got rid of their "Nano-Ballast". Does the ballast/plug get hot? Here is the link thanks, aqua_aaron Link to comment
Perpetual98
Damn. I wish I had seen these earlier. I just retro'd a canopy and would have used these instead. I wonder if I can find them cheaper somewhere? Link to comment
tsalter
If you can do some easy wiring. these are cheap and good. The wh5 can power 2x55 The wh1 will do 1x28 but you might as well spend a little extra cash and get a bigger one. I run a wh7 on my big tank and it does two 110 vho's no problem Heres a link for the workhorses. http://1000bulbs.com/category.php?category=771 Tom Link to comment
Jahkaya
They are very similar to the EZ Ballast by Coralife. The plug gets warm, but not hot. The Problem is is that you add the cost of a bulb, 20 bucks, the cost of a reflector, 15-20 bucks and shipping and you have an expensive retrofit. Link to comment
