digz
Ok, so after taking some hints off of this thread , Im going for my own 2.5 gal Im thinking of only LS (3lbs), and the highest quality LR (about 3 -4 lbs) I can find (so I can get the most amount of life out of it) and see where that takes me. I don't know how reliable it is, but would Lees protein skimmer help at all with such a small tank? I was going to throw a small HOT filter w/out media for current, OR, go try out that Protein skimmer + a small power head for flow. Any thoughts? Quick question, with the two 6500k lights from the mentioned thread, what can I let live in my tank? Thanks! Link to comment
digz
Alas, I am ignored Well, after some more research, im considering NOT going for the skimmer and instead im going to bulid a mini refuguim either from the ground up or out of a HOT filter. Link to comment
ninhsavestheday
go with 2 10ks and a fuge is a better choice than a skimmer for a 2.5. Link to comment
digz
Thanks! Are there any 10k compacts? Link to comment
ninhsavestheday
here are the 13 watts 10 k @ hellolights.com http://hellolights.com/13w5010dayac.html and if you want the screw in bulbs. they have the 10 watts at petco and they go for 12 dallors. Link to comment
kweckstrom
The lee skimmer won't fit in a 2.5 without cutting it REALLY short. It'd be a rough fit in a minibow 7. Link to comment
