willist
I'm looking to buy a test kit for a 28 gal. reef tank. Any recommendations? Link to comment
gabe_j
api, or salifert, my first kit was a red sea and it was off, about .25pm. Link to comment
lakshwadeep
Besides API and Salifert, other good brands are Elos and Lamotte. Link to comment
rkb
I would lean toward Salifert kits as I have found them to be very consistant. Some of the Red Sea kits are fine but avoid the RS calcium or alk kits, they are not very specific in their readings. Tests that I run in my SPS dominat system- Ca alk Mg PH Nitrate Po4 I also test for ammonia and nitrite periodically just to make sure, for these I use API kits, everything else is Salifert or Elos.
