yoshiod9 Posted January 12, 2004 Share Posted January 12, 2004 my gf works at petco and ive been eyeing that ballast and the 55 watt actinic bulb/50 50 bulb they carry. i have a eclipse twelve with a supernova 32 watt retro and i know there is room for more lighting. i'm not familiar with the jbj tanks so for an eclipse i'm thinking that all you would need is a reflector and a way to mount the thing. i believe that it has waterproof endcaps (if not this model then the older model definetly does have them) so the only thing you need to do is wipe your bulb down periodically to battle salt creep.
