regius34 Posted January 8, 2004 Share Posted January 8, 2004 Maybe someone can answer this question for me. I have a 1" bulkhead w/ an overflow that is 1" deep , 6" high and 6" wide. I also will be using 1 1/2 return. wish to use a hagen 802 powerhead in 10 gallon sump. I want to know if this pump will be able to keep up w/ the overflow. will this be too much, not enough or just fine thank you Link to comment
birdman204 Posted January 8, 2004 Share Posted January 8, 2004 whatever pump you choose will work with your overflow as long as it doesn't over power it, for example If its rated at 450 GPH , dont use a mag 9 as the return pump. Link to comment

They flow what the pump flows and as long as you don't surpass the max gph capability of the overflow there are no issues. That is the wonderfull thing about gravity Cameron Link to comment
