bamfcolorado
Alright so When the cycle was over i waited a week to be sure and went and picked up a cleanup crew. So i tested the water today and now my ammonia is at .25. It sounds like one of the only things that could have caused it is that one of my snails has died? Im going to do a water change tonight to try to rid my tank of ammonia but i wanna make sure all of the snails are okay. They were all fine last night. So what gives? Is there another reason for ammonia or maybe a solution to this problem? Link to comment
Billdemart
How many did you add? Is there anything else in your tank? Did you find a dead one anywhere? Link to comment
bamfcolorado
I have a 10 gallon and i added 3 ceriths and 3 margaritas. There is no other livestock in the tank. Im in class right now and i only glanced at home but it seems like they are all accounted for. Maybe change my filter media since im running an aqueon power filter 10? Link to comment
Billdemart
How much Live rock do you have? What are your other water readings. Link to comment
bamfcolorado
A little over 10 lbs of live rock pH ~7.9 nitrate <10 ppm nitrite 0 temp 78 ammonia ~.25 Link to comment
Gigaah
I'd just keep an eye on your ammonia. chances are your tank just needs to adjust. test ammonia each day. if it goes way up then worry. if it starts to go down or zero's out make sure you check you nitrite. Link to comment
