aj1au
Im moving house this weekend and i wanted to see if anyone has any tips for moving a 10G tank - what is the best way to keep the bacteria alive and will it cycle again? It will take about an hour to move (max) Link to comment
birdman204
take the rocks out, livestock also, leave sand and a tiny bit of water in, siphon other water our, move it, setup up rocks w/ out water , then slowly add water to keep cloud from kicking up... add livestock. Link to comment
caja
I suggest getting a couple buckets. One for the livestock and another for the LR. Use the tank water that you siphoned out, you don't want the rock out of the water for any extended period of time. When you set up the tank in the new house, use about 1/3 of your saved tank water and newly mixed saltwater. When I switched tanks I had no noticeable cycle. Link to comment
