new2reefs
I wanted a fuge so i decided to convert my skilter 250 to one. I took the skimmer out because its absolute crap and put a little sand on the bottom. along with about 2 pounds of rock ( just an estimate). Right now i dont have a light on it put a little light spills out of the tank and into the fuge. I just wanted to know if i had to add a light to it, im not planning on putting macro in it so i dont see a problem. Link to comment

viper531
if you're not going to put any macro in it then you dont need to add any lights to your fuge Link to comment
HogWinslow
I used to have that exact same set-up. I had a little algae also. I never thought that it did anything until the filter started to leak and I removed it. The nitrates shot up for about 3 weeks and snails started to die. I would say this should work for you. Pm me if you need anything. Hog Link to comment
