darwin604 Posted January 3, 2004 Share Posted January 3, 2004 I've had great success with chemi-clean getting rid of cyano blooms as well as clarifying my water. The one thing I'm wondering is how does this stuff work? I don't normally use any chemicals or supplements in my tank that I'm not sure of what they're doing . . but I'd like to know whats goin on with this chemi clean stuff so I can use it in an educated fashion. Is it an antibiotic? does it bond to certain chemicals? does it neutralize phosphates / silicates??? Just curious as to what exactly is happening. I do notice a bunch of bubbles form on problematic algae when I use it which makes me wonder whats goin on and question the effects it may have on other tank inhabitants. d. Link to comment
