Empty
Hi all, My tank is cycling now (5g bowfront) and I am making some stock decisions on it. Which is better suited for this size of tank and solitary life? Which will be more active? Will either of them produce less waste than the other? ~Empty Link to comment
Volcom
I am pretty sure that the fire-fish will be a better pick but I still wouldnt put iether in a 5. Howbout you skip both of those and go with a small clown goby or just get some shrimp. Link to comment
Rocket_155
Firefish are a good pick but abit big for a 5g tank. Link to comment
supernip
firefishes "dart" horizontally and can cover a lot of ground. I dont recommend one in a 5. Link to comment
bobioden
My firefish dosen't dart anywhere. He just hangs in the front middle of the tank. Link to comment
kennerd
Could be the lack of room, Bob. There are plenty of gobies that would be fine in there: clown, red-head, green banded, neon, randall's, yellow watchman. Mainly, these smaller fish tend to be bottom dwellers, and will perch on the substrate, rock or corals, and don't need as much in terms of free open water for free swimming. Link to comment
Empty
Wow, those redhead gobies are AWESOME, and from what I read they have a lot of personality. SOunds like my choice is made ~Empty Link to comment
