urchin?

I just found this on my tank wall. It moves around like a snail, but it's got soft spines on it like an urchin. The size is probably less that half an inch. Can someone please help me figure out what this is?

If this were in your garden using the description in your original post you'd probably know what it was immediatly.

 

Its a sea slug, a Nudibranch.

I'm sure someone here can ID this, unfortunetly I cannot. I've never fiddled with slugs. You could post at http://www.seaslugforum.net/welcome.htm for a positive ID.

be careful handling the slug. If it is a zoo eater, it's toxic and can give you quite the buzz.

I would suggest not touching it at all if possible. Net it and flush it. If you have to touch it use rubber gloves.
