Grub
I just noticed some sort of sweeper tentacles coming from my mushroom frag. I'm not sure what they are, and I have no picture. I only see them at night via a flashlight. The tentacles vary in length -- the longest being about two inches. They are white in color. They also retract after the light hits them. I can't see any creature bodies, only the tentacles. Any idea what these could be? Should I plan on removing them? And how? Thanks. Link to comment
birdman204
They may be a different animal living among the shrooms. Doesn't sound like part of it though. Link to comment

Grub
Nevermind. Found an answer, if they are in fact terrebelid worms; White long filaments coming out of rocks, are the tentacles of the so-called sphagetti worm, a terrebelid worm that anchors its body inside a small crevice in a rock and sends its tentacles out looking for food. It is interesting to note that the length of these tentacles can be quite substantial. They are harmless and feed on small particles of food and plankton. Link to comment
