Why does everyone assume she was banned??

Maybe browse through her topics: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...mp;hl=&st=0

I just heard on another thread that she was... I wasn't around when she disappeared...

I've read about every mandarin post she ever put up that i can access. I believe they may have been taken down?

afraid to experiment on your own?

No, I would be very excited to! :) We'll see. If I do, then I will definitely try the "brine, then 50/50, then mysis" approach.

PS- Your tank is my favorite on NR! Promise I'm not just tryin to kiss a$$. How long did it take you to wean your mandarin to mysis?

mmk...

#1, get an adequately sized tank that can consistently provide it with the natural food and roaming space that it needs.

#2, put a mandarin in it.

People generally skip right through #1 because they only care about #2.

I have to respectfully disagree... IMO (not first hand experience tho!) mandarins will unlikely live off pods in captivity, unless the tank is near 1,000 gallons. Therefore, we need to train our mandarins to accept other foods.

I know a guy (and have seen first hand) with a 180 that has the chubbiest mandarin you have ever seen in it eating nothing but pods for over two years.

I would love to meet some mandarin owners and get some first hand experience but I can barely find a local reefer period...

Also, please don't get me wrong. This is my current opinion based on what I have been able to experience.

Not sure where you read that but no, not even close. Mandarins live off of pods in the wild, and the least you could do is respect the fish and have it live off of pods in captivity. Usually any tank over 40ish gallons has enough pods for a mandarin, I had a breeding pair in a 90.

I have one in my 34 gallon. Well I photoshop all the new pictures to make everyone believe it is still alive.

LMFAO!!!! XD

Now Stevie just needs to dress down to his underwear, have a "photographer friend" take terrible, unflattering shots of him doing amateur pornography poses with his tank in the background and develop a severe case of narcissism.
