brad_gholson Posted December 28, 2003 Share Posted December 28, 2003 well this is day 1 about 5:00pm i started getting the FW fish out. well about 6:30 after scrubing it i started with IO and water. i put 13g of water and then 40lbs of caribsea super reef sand. then 5g more water. i still need about 5g of water. i put a little squid and some live rock from my 55g. along with some pods and a hermit (oops) i will have to get him out. brad_gholson Posted December 29, 2003 Author Share Posted December 29, 2003 the only way to keep squid happy is to have dirty water well day 2 it is and the water is still cloudy but the squid has made my ammonia .25 the cycle starts i am going to let this 1 mature for about 2 months before adding any live stock. i was going to use GARF argrocrete and GARF gurnge. i am sadly not using any sand from my 55. i dont know if it is silica based or not so i am not going to risk it i will catch some pods out of it (thanks mattie) and maybe allitle grape algae i will post when it clears up Link to comment
