My 20 long just finished cycling, will start stocking in a few days.. Will try and add a pic soon.

T5 2 bulb, 24 watts each

10k bulb and 420 bulb

10lb agronite

10 lb fine grain live sand

15lb Manado Cured LR

5 lb mixed fiji/manado/marshall LR smaller pieces

300gph Powerhead

That is what is in now doing the cycle

Next steps (over time):

Clean up/additional filtration

Add Culerpa

4 nassarius snail

4 nerite snail

4 trochus snail

4 cerith snail

1 starfish (brittle or serpent...advice would be appreciated)

1 Peppermint shrimp

1 Emerald crab

1 Feather Duster

Months out:

Finger Leather

Colt Coral

Ricordea mushrooms

Zoanthids

Star Polyps

Scooter Blenny

12 month mark:

Seahorse pair (maybe...still researching and studying the husbandy requirements for success with seahorses, but that is the goal of this tank)

No sump or fuge. I ran my 29gal as deep sand bed with LR and a HOB filter for 6 years with no problem. Loved the ease of maintenance and lack of moving parts that could break!

That is one stuffed tank!

Miss this thread (and the 20 long). Looking back through these, still one of my favorite tanks. Someone with a 20 should take over... I can clean it up, add the new ones if we can get a volunteer and a mod will give them OP to make changes... Just sayin'

Anybody else want to show their 20L for inspiration/wisdom? no post on this thread since Feb and I'll be starting mine in January.

It's been too long since the last update. :)

I swear this tank is temporary, but never the less I'm running a third tank, a 20 long, for a few months.

Looks good Mark!

Bah, still has the old coraline "stains" from over a year ago. But thanks. :) I would like to see more 20 longs in this thread, it used to be active. Maybe the 20 long is a dying breed ...

Trends come and go. When I started keeping reefs in 2009, 20L, 20H, and 40B were a big deal, but now there are a lot more companies making rimless and more custom tanks. I think you are right, they are a dying breed.
