A bit early in the testing process for me to run out and make a switch, but time will tell. So, thus far you are just testing from your Main tank right? I assume you also made the switch and WC on your frag tank too? I would assume that is where you highest demand for elements is, so I would be curious to see a future test there to compare to the original stats you posted. Thanks again. Link to comment
LogansRunRx Posted March 21, 2010 Share Posted March 21, 2010 this is definitely the saltiest salt i've seen! they're not kiddin' when they say it mixes more salt per bucket. my standard 1/2 cup per gal of RO/DI yielded a salinity of almost 45 ppt. looks like this bucket's gonna go a long way. cheers... Trolldoll Posted March 26, 2010 Share Posted March 26, 2010 your original test on the fresh mix doesnt match the lab test because the salt settles. i was told you need to either make one huge batch of water or roll the bucket to mix the salt. i had a a difference of 100mg from the top to the bottom of a bucket of oceanic. following along since im looking to switch salts.
