New AROMAT 70W Electronic ballasts.

I have seen people post that they are getting these AROMAT ballast on ebay for $55.00.

Make sure you look at the model #. They are probably selling the old style ballast. The new one is a 5u. not 3u.

Where did you get yours? ebay?

 

I am sure the new ones use less electricity and produce less heat, but I'm sure the old ones work too. Or is there something wrong with them?

I get them from an OEM I am in the lighting buisness. The newer

ones are more effecient and cooler.

The old ones should be fine.... I was just trying to make a point as why the older ones are less expensive.

 

I plan to sell my units for about $150-160....

I think people could build their own (like you did) for cheaper than you are selling them. Although, some may not be too DIY inclined and prefer to spend a few extra bucks to get something that is all ready to plug-and-play.

 

Just checked it out, and the wiring and everything looks extremely clean. Would the bulb come with it and everything? The ballast is NOT electronic, am I correct?

Yes 70w 10k ushio lamp included. The ballast is a 70w AROMAT..
