jbrat
I'm not sure how much water it holds but I experimented with a AC300 as a refugium. It works great! Tons of critters in it. I took out the media basket added a small layer of LS, piled LR up where the water comes into the filter, to breakup the flow and put a surface skimmer on the intake, to slow the flow rate. Works well for me on my 55gal. DO you know how wide the AC500 is? I'd like to add another bigger one but not sure if the ac500 is narrow enough to fit between the tank and the wall. I would think a AC500 would be a good size for a 10gal. but the flow will be little strong, but that'll just save you $$ . you probably won't need a PH, AC may put out plenty of current for a 10gal. depending on what you are keeping in it of course. Good luck! Link to comment
Blownpony
Here http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...&threadid=16635 Another thread on here about it to. It does hold close to a gallon of water. The surface skimmer will slow the flow way down. Link to comment
