BubblesnmahBrainstem Posted December 23, 2003 Share Posted December 23, 2003 anyone know how to figure out the rating on a overflow box that utilizes a 1.5" U-tube for the siphon and has a 2" bulkhead drain? i got the box 2nd hand and have no idea what its rating is. i'm upgrading my pump to a mag 9.5 rated at about 750 gph at my head height (the previous pump was rated around 450 gph i think) and i want to make sure it can handle the extra flow. the only info i can find on overflows are the continous overflow boxes which i really dont want to have to buy. i'm adding a ball valve after the pump i think to restrict the flow if i have too.
