question about chemi-pure elite

ive never used this before, it seems like its taking awfully long to rinse out, im not supposed to just put it in the tank with a brief rinsing am i? ive been rinsing this bag for 10 minutes and the water is just coming out black...wth??

I use that stuff and 1 min or 2 is all it should take.

Make sure your not grinding the contents. That will cause the black to just continue. A light rinse under warm water for 1minute is all you need. Dont shake it around or squeeze it in your hand too much.

Do not rinse it more than 30-60 seconds. You want all that black stuff to remain in the media

haha ok i exaggerated i didnt rinse for ten mins, after a couple mins i figured i was either washing away all the good stuff or the bag was bad or something... so thanks for the quick replies! under control now =D

I use it and just do 20 seconds or so. If you move it around it will never stop realeasing the black stuff.

I was going to stop on my way home from work and get some chemi-pure. Do you guys rinse it with RO or just tap water??
