ive steadily had a decline in coralline on my rocks and what not, just wondering what might be the cause? im thinking my sps has grown out alot and is using more of what the coralline needs. water is testing fine, ca is around down to around 400 though. never dosed anything, maybe its time to start a 2 part? i dont know, someone enlighten me please... also had a couple turbo snails bite the dust, dont know if that has anything to do with it though.

The coraline is bleaching because calcium is lacking in the system. This is most likely due to your SPS growing and using the ca.

Invest in a good ca and dkh test kits. Dose as needed.

400 is on the low end... make sure your test kits are reliable - I used B Ionic 2 part with great results. Just make sure you monitor your CA and Alk as you are using it. Eventually you'll find that sweet spot of just what your tank needs to maintain @ 460. I always kept mine higher - but I liked the purple stuff.
