lakshwadeep
Alk stands for [carbonate] alkalinity, the major factor influencing saltwater aquarium pH. How old is the tank? What test kit brand are you using to measure pH? What is the actual pH value? If it is 7.8 or higher, then your pH is in the normal range and you don't need to dose anything.
