Jennifer
What are these boogers? This candy cane brand new (from Lee and Bryan at TLR), and I blew on him a bit with a turkey baster, and the whitish specks will not come off. They are on one polyp only...do you think it's simply some mucous it's shedding, or is it possibly some type of parasite? Tough to get a really good close up...wish you were here to mash your collective noses up to the glass like I do! Link to comment
Jennifer
photo of whole candy cane, bogies still not as clear as I'd like. Link to comment
Crakeur
do they move or are they just a spec on the flesh? could be from the crushed coral (piece stuck on the flesh). they look real healthy so I would simply keep an eye on them and see if they move around or leave a trail of damage behind them Link to comment
Jennifer
The bogies are gone today. I don't see any damage to that polyp. Hopefully I didn't introduce some kind of booger-lice into my tank!! The two larger polyps extended their sweepers last night, but the smaller three have retracted a bit, even. I'll keep an eye on it. Link to comment
Crakeur
booger-lice is freshwater. snotbugs are salt. please get that straight. As I said, I wouldn't be too concerned with the little things. Unless they reappear and seem to be chowing on corals. Link to comment
