Stevoreno
Howdy....I am in the info gathering stage - I will be starting a nanocube soon. I have read references to using a turkey baster for feeding and for some housekeeping chores. What about using a stainless steel baster? Are there any precautions about metal utensils in a saltwater tank? I did several searches and couldn't find anything...some people use stainless steel forceps, etc. Thanks for your help - this web site and forum have been a treasure. Stevoreno Link to comment
msf
The problem is in the drying of the utensils... with forceps they can be completely dried after use. With a stainless steel baster it is impossible to dry the inside... Go with a plastic one. Link to comment

Stevoreno
Not being able to dry it completely makes sense. I had a new in the box SS baster with a screw on tip that looked like it would fit into airline if needed, etc. I'll keep my eye out for a plastic or glass one. Thanks for the reply!
