Do you mean from your tap water? I don't think there's typically enough ammonia in tap water to even bother...

 

I don't think the RO membrane specifically removes ammonia, but your pre-filter blocks and resins should.

 

Of course don't quote me on that, I'm by no means an expert.

The membrane removes about 85-90% of the ammonia compounds like ammonia, ammonium salts, nitrates and nitrites and the DI resin removes the rest.

Ammonia is becoming more common in tap water with the addition of chloramines as a residual disinfectant.

 

Ammonia can also be common in older domestic wells on farm and rural properties where they may be influenced by fertilizer runoff, livestock runoff and septic systems and leach fields.
