ralva365
Well after I added the salt to my tank I start to mix the water with a stick (Clean, and brand new) along with the water pump. but the stick ended up having some rust particles on it. Im certain now i have rusty RO water. LOL any suggestions? Must I empty the tank again and start over after cleaning the tank. what a rookie move!!!!!! Link to comment
AZDesertRat
Stick the sponge filter insert on a powerhead and see if you can suck the rust particles into the sponge where you can remove them. All the MaxiJet powerheads have a sponge filter that fits on the pump suction screen. Link to comment
ralva365
I'll just empty it and wipe it down again. As far the brand new Maxi-jet 900 pump i had in there ill run it through water until I cleans out Link to comment
gregzbobo
I wouldn't worry about using a stick to mix the salt into your water next time, the pump should be plenty. I'll just empty it and wipe it down again. As far the brand new Maxi-jet 900 pump i had in there ill run it through water until I cleans out Link to comment
