AquaJamieB Posted December 15, 2003 Share Posted December 15, 2003 I am starting a 20L. I already have the ViaAqua Multi skimmer/filter/UV Sterilizer. My question is.....Most people tell me UV is bad for a reef, lfs tells me they all use UV now. LFS tells me UV kills everything, good and bad....but the good can be replenished as needed. Could this be partly true, or did I get hosed. I am planning on 25 lbs. liverock and 20 lbs. livesand (aragalive). Other equipment available is an Aquaclear 300, a Powersweep 214, and a couple smaller powerheads. Thanks for your advice or experiences with UV. Link to comment
