reefout Posted December 14, 2003 Share Posted December 14, 2003 as i mentioned in another post, i was really bummed to find out that radium doesnt make a 175 20k bulb. can anyone tell me what's the best 20k 175? i have a blueline ballast so i can run just about anything. Link to comment
serjuanca88 Posted December 14, 2003 Share Posted December 14, 2003 I have an XM 175w 20k. Im very happy with it. Although it is only 275 lumens compared to the typical 500 -600 lumens for a 175 MH. It is plently of light for my 12g nano. Link to comment
reefout Posted December 14, 2003 Author Share Posted December 14, 2003 thanks! that's just the information i was looking for.: now, i cant help but wonder which 175w 20k bulb has the highest lumen output and or par. i know hamilton also makes one for 175w, i also know from personal experience that coralife 20k are really bad (dim, different color w/ different ballasts, short life). blueline's 10k bulb might as well be a 20k as far as color but overall output is poor. i've never seen a xm or a hamilton 20k 175 so i dont know anything about them, but it's sounding like i might want to go with the hamilton, does anybody use them?
