Anemone Splitting?

I have a Bubble Tip Anemone in my 20 gallon tank and several of its tentacles(is that what u call it?) are splitting. They look like conjoined tentacles. What is happening? Is it just grwoing or is it a deformity? Do BTAs split like this? How do BTAs reproduce? by spawning or splitting?
