Fant
How are they attached to the rock? Are they soft or is there a stoney skeleton under there? Link to comment
Fant
If there is a skeleton then they are small fungia, plate coral, as they grow they will detach from the rock and at that point you should place them on the substrate. Link to comment
dcebersole
i just checked and they look like they are soft and are just sitting on the rock, there is actually 3. There is one small on right below the darker one and is identical to the darker one. Before i rearranged my rock my jaw fish burried them a couple of times, they would pull in and just looked like a bump sticking off of the rock. Goodness, after re-reading my first post...i really need to spell check. Link to comment
Fant
well if they are fungia the skeleton could be very tiny a few cm and they could expand several times that size. Again they look like fungia i cant think of anything else with that tentacular pattern. Link to comment
BlackSumbel
Either Fungia, or some weird type of hairy mushroom. Either way, keep a close eye on them. They're quite nifty. -Sumbie. Link to comment
