Carinya
Just had to share that my formerly COMPLETELY dead & bleached rock is showing signs of sprouting some nice pink corraline algae. So excited! I'm so glad I set up this little 3g. Ok, go back to whatever y'all were doing... C Link to comment

WillyWonka
hey, bout how long does it take for coralline algae to take over. i just finished up an algae bloom of diatoms and green algae. how much longer? Link to comment
NanoReefer53
increase your alk and calcium levels. for super fast coraline growth shoot for about 10dkh at least and above 400ppm calcium. It's been about 3 months for my base rock and the whole top layer of rocks is just really covered in algae. The rocks on the bottom are still workin on it Link to comment

Mr_Spam
more actinic(true), a more blue tank will aid alot in coraline growth. Link to comment
WillyWonka
whats the difference between true and ultra actinic? Link to comment
Korbin
I had corralline pop up all over my new tank in no time. I think its partly because I took shavings of the corraline algae from another tank and sprinkled them in. Now my rocks are all speckled with purpleness and its starting to get really noticeable after 1 month. Link to comment
Sahin
Korbin, thats a good idea! Gonna use that idea. Link to comment
