Just had to share that my formerly COMPLETELY dead & bleached rock is showing signs of sprouting some nice pink corraline algae.

So excited! I'm so glad I set up this little 3g.

Ok, go back to whatever y'all were doing...

increase your alk and calcium levels. for super fast coraline growth shoot for about 10dkh at least and above 400ppm calcium. It's been about 3 months for my base rock and the whole top layer of rocks is just really covered in algae. The rocks on the bottom are still workin on it :)

I had corralline pop up all over my new tank in no time. I think its partly because I took shavings of the corraline algae from another tank and sprinkled them in. Now my rocks are all speckled with purpleness and its starting to get really noticeable after 1 month.
