minireefer Posted December 7, 2003 Share Posted December 7, 2003 ok, im brand new to this deal so bear with me, please. is 40 watts of compact lighting even close to being enough to keep some zoos and pulsing xenia and mushrooms in a 10 gallon aquarium or am i an idiot? i think the nano of the month for november, which is the one still on the home page, only has about 4.3 watts per gallon and it looks pretty nice. any help what so ever would be much appreciated. thank you. You could go that low for some lower light corals, but trust me, it's worth it to spend the extra $$ now and get the highest lighting you can afford. Otherwise, a few months down the road you'll be kicking yourself wondering why you didn't just spend the money and get the best. Buy smart now. Link to comment
